2009 – Early Beginnings
Robert’s journey started at a McDonald’s in Mississauga, Ontario, just five minutes from his parents’ home. Working long shifts through high school, he saved enough to fund his own college education.

2012 – Business Education
Robert entered the Ivey Business School in London, Ontario, graduating in 2016 with an HBA. This foundation gave him both the discipline of finance and the mindset of an operator.

2015 – Industry Exposure
While at Ivey, Robert joined PepsiCo as a finance analyst in the food division, gaining his first real taste of how global consumer brands operate at scale.

2016 – Corporate Training
Upon graduation, Robert joined Restaurant Brands International (RBI) under the Tim Hortons brand. He trained exactly as a Tim Hortons franchisee would at Tim Hortons University before advancing into RBI’s corporate Leadership Development Program.

2017 – Expanding Horizons
Upon graduation, Robert joined Restaurant Brands International (RBI) under the Tim Hortons brand. He trained exactly as a Tim Hortons franchisee would at Tim Hortons University before advancing into RBI’s corporate Leadership Development Program.
Robert worked across development, franchising, finance, marketing, and strategy for the Tim Hortons brand, helping expand the banner in both Canada and the U.S. He later relocated to Miami, Florida, to work directly with RBI’s U.S. leadership team.


2017 – Expanding Horizons
2019 – Private Equity Experience
Robert continued in strategy and finance roles for the Tim Hortons brand before relocating to Miami, Florida, to work directly with RBI’s U.S. team.
Robert joined Garnett Station Partners under his mentor, Alex Macedo, then-President of Burger King and Tim Hortons. There, he led corporate development for Fat Tuesday, gaining firsthand experience in brand expansion through private equity.


2019 – Private Equity Experience
2020 – Entrepreneurial Spark
Robert joined Garnett Station Partners under the Fat Tuesday brand with former exetuvies of Burger King and Tim Hortons. There, he led corporate development for Fat Tuesday, gaining firsthand experience in brand expansion and private equity.
Frustrated by his own dental experiences, Robert saw an opportunity: make dental care better for others. This led to the creation of Habit Dental, a modern practice built on hospitality, comfort, and consistency.


2020 – Entrepreneurial Spark
2022 – Reinventing Fat Tuesday
As his frustration grew at every dental appointment he had, Robert saw an opportunity: make dental care better for others. This led to the creation of Habit Dental, a modern practice built on hospitality, comfort, and consistency.
With Habit Dental growing, Robert partnered again with his Fat Tuesday colleagues — this time to reimagine the brand as a nightlife destination. The first full-concept bar opened in Ybor, Tampa, proving the model could thrive beyond Las Vegas and Miami.

With Habit Dental growing, Robert partnered again with his Fat Tuesday colleagues — this time to reimagine the brand as a nightlife destination. The first full-concept bar opened in Ybor, Tampa, proving the model could thrive beyond Las Vegas and other grab and go markets.
These experiences led to a bigger realization: the true opportunity lies in bringing great brands into new markets with an operator’s mindset and a partner’s discipline. Today, Habit Partners carries that mission forward — building businesses that solve consumer problems and help brands achieve deeper market penetration.
